Home At Last!

After a 48 hour stay in the hospital, Fischer & I were both feeling squirrelly and ready to go back home. Grammy Pam was there too, to help us through the first few days. Fischer & I are both doing very well getting the hang of nursing, and either sleeping or getting things done in 1 1/2 to 2 hour windows of time. In fact, our first trip to Walmart, Fischer got hungry, so Grammy Pam grabbed the list and gathered all of the items we needed while I nursed him in the dressing room. We've been out to eat with our little man twice: to Burger Co. for Joe's birthday, and to Perkins for lunch with Uncle Nate & his girlfriend Libby. It's so great that most places are non-smoking now. I'm finding myself so much more aware of things around me than ever before--noises, smells, temperatures, lighting, etc. on Fischer's behalf.

We noticed those things much more after we had Flora. Like, "does the waitress have to talk so loud, can't she see she's sleeping?" This will fade when he gets bigger.
